Santiago is currently a PhD candidate in International Politics at Fudan University, Shanghai. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Policies, Strategies and Development from the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He was a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology (INCT/PPED - Brazil), and has served as Parliamentary Advisor to the National Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Republic. He also worked as a Research Coordinator at the China-Brazil Business Council.
