Mobility Vision 2040 Summit: the future of mobilities in a fractured world

Mobility is now the frontline of global geopolitics, economic statecraft, & industrial dominance. The automotive & technology sectors operate at a critical crossroads where supply chain security, tech sovereignty, & re-industrialization dictate market survival.

At Alagan Partners, our focus is reading these geoeconomic shifts to help leaders navigate systemic disruption. That’s why we were proud to sponsor the Mobility Vision 2040 summit in Istanbul, hosted & curated on October 7 by SMI – Sustainable Mobility Initiative, in partnership with Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Mobility Vision 2040 is a senior-level summit platform bringing together industry leaders, technology pioneers and policy makers from Europe and Türkiye.

Across 12 panels and keynote sessions, more than 30 speakers shared their views on critical topics such as software-defined vehicles, connected cars, AI-powered traffic management and mixed mobility.

As an event partner and sponsor, Alagan Partners contributed to this discussion on issues of geoeconomics, re-industrialisation and how to cope with Chinese EV leadership, in the two introductory panels:

1️⃣ Chinese Auto Revolution and What is Next for Europe – with Francois Roudier of Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, and Dr. Albert Waas of Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

2️⃣ Made in Europe! How to Reach a “Win-Win” Solution for Europe and Türkiye – with Bahadır Kaleağası of Institut du Bosphore, Francois Roudier of Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, and Dr. Albert Waas of Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

The summit culminated with a discussion on the impact for country branding of the return of Formula 1 to Türkiye, with the Istanbul Grand Prix scheduled for the 2027-2031 seasons.

Congratulations to Hakan Doğu and the whole team at SMI for a successful event, that Alagan Partners was proud to sponsor.
