The China-Latin America relationship has cooled off recently, with several LatAm countries calling for a reset and Beijing’s support for Maduro causing serious damage.
China urgently needs to realize that “it cannot do business the way it has in parts of Africa and Asia — intellectual property, environmental and labor laws, along with democracy itself, must be respected.”
Playing in Washington’s backyard will require Beijing to truly deliver on its “win-win” promises…
