Is Europe ready for a NATO without the US?

In an interview in Istanbul by Feyza Gümüşlüoğlu for EKOTÜRK, I discussed the following points:

the peace negotations between Trump and Putin over Ukraine

the transatlantic divorce between the US and Europe, after US Vice-President JD Vance’s speech at the Munich Security Conference

Trump’s doctrine of economic warfare and industrial coercion

the prospects of rearming Europe, as the EU pledged €800bn to boost defence spending and prop up the defence industry

the consequences of redefining NATO on Europe – Türkiye relations

The interview was recorded approximately 2 weeks before Trump’s announcement of his systematic tariff policy, which only came to reinforce several of the points I made.
