Jorge is Director and Lecturer of the postgraduate courses on Contemporary China and “China in the Global Era” at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) in Buenos Aires. A member of the Academic Committee of UCA’s Centro de Estudios Internacionales (CEI), he chairs the China Working Group at Consejo Argentino de Relaciones Internacionales (CARI). He holds a BSc in Political Science from UCA, a MA in Chinese studies from University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a PhD in Political Science from UCA. The author of many publications on China’s relations with Latin America, he is the recipient of the 2013 “Special Book Award of China” for his book “China: The Building of a Big Power“.
