Nissan announced a wider, revamped Board of Directors, to be approved at an end-June Annual General Meeting.

11 Directors (from 8 earlier), 7 of whom will be Independent Directors. 6 Japanese and 5 foreigners. A notable entry is Thierry Bolloré, CEO of Renault. Outbound are 2 Nissan executives: Toshiyuki Shiga and Hideyuki Sakamoto.

Finally a ray of light for Renault’s interests in the Alliance ? Not so sure: Japan’s METI remains represented by M. Masakazu Toyoda…
